A Level Psychology
Psychology has been defined as 'the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes' (Atkinson et al, 1991). Psychologists, therefore, are mainly interested in people and in what makes them behave in the ways that they do.
Psychology on TV is largely about relationships, body language and the lives of celebrities, but this is a poor reflection of what is happening in university psychology departments. This course looks at a small number of research studies that have been chosen because they are classic studies in psychology or because they illustrate important issues in psychology.
